Gondwana Cañon Park

The Nama Karoo – yellow flowers of quiver trees against the blue sky at the second largest canyon on earth. The quiver tree is a typical stem succulent of the Nama Karoo and several clusters can be found on the vast plains of Gondwana Cañon Park. With an area of 1,120 km² and the first piece of land acquired in 1995, this park is the largest and oldest nature reserve of the Gondwana Desert Collection.

Join a drive and with a little luck watch springbok, Oryx antelope, hartebeest, zebra and ostrich. Explore the park on foot or on horseback. Marvel at the Fish River Canyon from the main lookout point, just 20 km away, or go for a scenic flight.
