  In the 22,700 km² national park in the north of Namibia you experience animals in the wild.
  African savannah with shrubs and acacias, sandy dry riverbeds, massive granite mountain tops and table mountains are characteristic of the wildly romantic scenery of Damaraland.
  The Kalahari with its red sand dunes in the east of Namibia is the largest continuous stretch of sand on the planet.
  The nature reserve (100 km²) ist situated 30 km northeast of Mariental and is home to animals like springbok, oryx, blue wildebeest and ostrich.
  The Nama Karoo is wedged between the tree and shrub savannah in the northeast and the Namib Desert in the west.
  160 km long, up to 27 km wide and 500 m deep - the Fish River Canyon is regarded as the second largest canyon on earth.
  The park (1,260 km²) at the Fish River Canyon in the south of Namibia is characterised by the Nama Karoo desert and offers a large number and diversity of game - even black rhino.
  With more than 1.700 leafy succulents and 130 stem succulents the Succulent Karoo in the southwest of Namibia is regarded as the most diverse desert in the world.
  Over the decades the Wild Horses have conquered the Namib desert in the southwest of Namibia as their habitat.
  The deserted diamond settlement of Kolmanskuppe offers attractive themes for photos. The harbour town of Lüderitz boasts a number of magnificent Jugendstil buildings.
  The park (510 km²) in the southwest of Namibia is characterised by the Succulent Karoo desert and borders on the area, where the Wild Horses roam.
  The Namib in the west of Namibia is regarded as the oldest desert on earth (20 million years). It consists of sand seas and gravel plains.
  At the Sossusvlei in the heart of the Namib desert you find the highest dunes on earth. Sesriem Canyon is so narrow that it gives shade even at midday.
  In the park (100 km²) north of Sesriem/Sossusvlei the fossilised dunes of the ancient Namib meet the active ones of the young Namib.
