Cañon Mountain Camp
Situated about 6 km from Cañon Lodge at the foot of picturesque dolerite hills, Cañon Mountain Camp is a real idyll for the self-catering traveller. The building, shaped like a horseshoe, houses 8 en-suite rooms plus a communal kitchen and dining room. The covered grill area is a pleasant meeting place at the end of an eventful day. Hikers also like to spend the night at Mountain Camp before or after their hiking tour through nearby Fish River Canyon (transfers possible on request). Keys to the camp are to be obtained at the reception of the Cañon Lodge. They can use the swimming pool close to the lodge and are most welcome at the restaurant and bar as well.

Trails
  Take in the harsh beauty of the Fish River Canyon as close as can be, without lugging your heavy gear along... Mule Trails Namibia offers hiking tours (4 to 5 days) in the canyon area north of the main lookout point.
  A hot tip for the adventurously-minded is a hiking tour of 2 to 5 days, with or without a guide, through the almost pristine wilderness in the northern reaches of the Fish River Canyon.
