Six Gondwana Lodges carry off Awards – 02.02.10
Gondwana Collection Namibia came out tops at the Studiosus award ceremony. Europe’s leading educational tour operator singled out no less than six Gondwana lodges for excellence:

The Studiosus Awards were presented last Friday at a festive dinner at Okapuka Ranch near Windhoek. The Managing Director of Studiosus Reisen, Peter Strub, and four employees had come to Namibia specifically for the award ceremony. Apart from Gondwana another eight Namibian accommodation establishments were awarded.
As part of its quality management Studiosus regularly conducts polls after their clients’ trips. Respondents can also evaluate each accommodation establishment in different categories, such as location, atmosphere, service, cleanliness, conveniences, breakfast and main meal. To receive the award, the score has to be at least 95 percent for each category. According to Studiosus Director Peter Strub Namibian hotels and lodges took the lead in the worldwide comparison.
Studiosus currently cooperates with some 2800 accommodation establishments in 128 countries; 150 of them qualified for the Studiosus Awards last year. More than 100 000 travellers opted for Studiosus during the 2009 season, and some 2000 chose Namibia as their destination.
