MealForTwo starts the Festive Season with good wishes

Avatar of inke inke - 07. décembre 2017 - Gondwana Collection

The Gondwana Care Trust’s initiative MealForTwo has made its first official move in support of two charitable organisations at the beginning of December. This has allowed the MEGS Soup Kitchen, Senior Park Old Age Home as well as Healt the Land organisation to start the festive season in the best possible spirit.

On 3 December, members of the Gondwana Collection attended a special Christmas lunch hosted by the MEGS Soup Kitchen, which became the first official MealForTwo recipient. The lunch was attended by Bank Windhoek, a partner in the MealForTwo campaign, other supporters of the organisation, and various members of the Khomasdal community. Bank Windhoek supported the campaign with generous financial donation, further support was received by Mrs Katja Klein and Anchors Restaurant Walvis Bay.

A day later, on 4 December, Bank Windhoek and the Gondwana Collection visited the Senior Park Old Age Home to deliver food packs in support of the small community. Over 100 boxes were delivered to the home, thanks to the plentiful support of Bank Windhoek, working through the MealForTwo campaign.

In Okahandja, on 5 December, the Heal the Land organisation also received festive bundles, supported by the MealforTwo initiative.

Bank Windhoek showed their support by donating N$ 125 000, towards the MealForTwo initiative. Over 500 people all over Namibia have been surprised with support and gift bundles.

“MealForTwo is a project that is bigger than Gondwana and Bank Windhoek. We feel it is important to gain further partnership with other companies, so that we can grow the project and support as many people across Namibia as we can, in accordance with the Harambee Prosperity Plan,” says Manni Goldbeck, Director of Brand and Marketing of the Gondwana Collection Namibia.

If anyone would like to become part of this initiative, please contact the head of the Gondwana Care Trust Liaison, Dgini Visser
