Gondwana celebrates 20 Years at the Tourism Expo

Avatar of inke inke - 10. May 2016 - Gondwana Collection

This year the Gondwana Collection is celebrating 20 years at the Namibia Tourism Expo and heartily invites anyone who would like to celebrate with us. Join us from 18 to 21 May at the Gondwana Shebeen and grab one of our jubilee newspapers, or click here for the English edition Celebrate or the German edition Wir feiern. Participate in our Sundowner Competition and stand a chance to win your share of 101 nights at any Gondwana Lodge.

Live music will be available in the evenings. This year Gondwana welcomes Fancy Galada, an internationally known singer from Cape Town who has performed with various groups such as Abamanyani, Heshoo Beshoo and the world renowned percussion ensemble, Amampondo. The already familiar Etosha Boys and Professors will also take the stage.

The Gondwana Hall's kitchen will once again be serving the popular Gondwana bratwurst, kasegriller and schnitzel. And the kiosk outside will offer coffee, snacks and slush puppies. There will also be a cash-bar available in the Gondwana Hall.

The Gondwana Collection is also currently under consideration for the Responsible Tourism Award 2016, with Etosha Safari Camp being one of three finalists. The remaining finalists have undergone further assessment against criteria that combine those of the existing Eco Awards and additional criteria that make the assessment compliant with International Certification Standards. The overall winner will be announced at the Namibian Tourism Expo, on 19 May 2016. The announcement will be made at the Nedbank Unity Village at 16:00.
