NTB starts the New Year with a change to their personnel

Namibia is becoming increasingly popular as a travel destination, especially for tourists from the European countries, particularly the German-speaking areas. The Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) in Frankfurt played a decisive role in this development. 

In January there has been a change in leadership. The former head of the NTB office in Frankfurt, Maureen Posthuma, will now be applying her valuable experience in the European travel market to her new position as Global Head of Marketing at the NTB headquarters in Windhoek. The advertising manager for Europe, Matthias Lemcke, will now head the NTB branch in Frankfurt.

Gondwana Collection Namibia has been working closely with the NTB office in Frankfurt for many years. The long-standing marketing manager of the lodge group, Miriam Schmidt, partly attributes the fantastic success of the Namibian travel industry in 2016 to the valuable work done by the NTB offices in Frankfurt.

“Despite a limited budget the NTB team in Frankfurt, under the leadership of Maureen Posthuma, has done a great job by successfully marketing Namibia with innovative ideas. Travellers see Namibia as a safe and adventurous travel destination. We are very pleased that Maureen has now joined the NTB team in Windhoek. We could not imagine a better person to market Namibia and we look forward to an even more intensive cooperation with her. Furthermore, we know that the marketing of Namibia in Frankfurt has been placed in competent hands. We trust that we will enjoy many more fruitful collaborations.”
