Experience the Kalahari by E-Bike

Avatar of inke inke - 31. July 2017 - Gondwana Collection, Sport

On the Eastern fringes of Namibia, the red sands of the Kalahari beckon. Enjoy an E-Bike Tour into the Gondwana Kalahari Park.

The Kalahari Anib Lodge is the first of the Gondwana properties to introduce E-bikes as an activity. Guests can now rent electric fat-bikes to pedal through the Gondwana Kalahari Park on selected routes. The goal of this activity is to lessen the carbon footprint on the beautiful environment and to offer our guests the opportunity to get closer to nature without breaking too much of a sweat.

The Activity offers three routes, of various lengths, to choose from (22-38km). Cyclists are guided by a GPS system to keep them on their chosen route. The routes pass through the dunes and plains of the Kalahari where a variety of animals can be spotted from the comfort of your bikes.

The bikes for the Kalahari E-Bike Tours are battery operated fat-bikes. Four adult and two Children bikes as well as helmets are up for rent. All bikes are equipped with water bottles that can be filled at the water vending machine. A morning cycle tour costs N$400.00 per bike (no afternoon cycles are available).
