Selected boat trips temporarily suspended from September to December

Avatar of inke inke 06. November 2017 - Gondwana Collection

Due to the low water level of the Okavango River boat trips at Hakusembe River Lodge are currently suspended.

When one sees the local Rundu inhabitants wading through the Okavango on foot, it is clear: Unfortunately, boat trips for guests at Hakusembe River Lodge have been stopped temporarily. This is due to the low water levels in the river. The Chobe River might also be affected and with it the activities at the Chobe River Camp.

In the dry season between mid-September and December, the rivers tend to hold so little water that boat trips are limited, with little or no access to river channels. We make every effort to maintain the activities or offer suitable alternatives. The safety of our guests comes first.

We kindly request guests to contact us during this time, one week before arrival to confirm which activities are possible and to be sure of departure times. We apologise for any inconviences caused and appreciate your understanding.

For all enquires please contact Miriam or Anthea.
