Following some confusion over the recent festive season with regards to the benefit and discount structure of the Gondwana Card programme, Gondwana Collection Namibia revisited the Gondwana Card and its original intent.

The Gondwana Card was created in 2007 with the expressive purpose of making Namibia an affordable destination for regional travellers, to offer Namibians the opportunity to travel within our beautiful country and enjoy the same services and experiences afforded to international tourists.

The Namibian Tourism landscape is a dynamic environment and because of market forces and exchange rate fluctuations, certain conditions with regards to the Gondwana Card have been adapted over the years to ensure its sustainability and to ensure the programme stays true to its original intent.

In light of the current economic conditions prevailing in the sub-region, Gondwana Collection Namibia would like to announce the following changes and additions to the Gondwana Card programme:

1. Gondwana Web Store. After several months of development, the Gondwana Collection recently launched its online web store with a specific login feature for Gondwana Card holders. This feature allows for the online application for new Gondwana Cards as well as direct bookings with real-time availability for all Gondwana Card holders. This is to ease the application process as well as to provide cardholders with a convenient and easy portal for bookings, reservations and access to information on a 24-hour basis in the convenience of your home, office or even on any mobile device. For more information please visit us at https://store.gondwana-collection.com/

2. Property Inclusions. Apart from all the Gondwana lodges, Gondwana Card benefits and discounts will as from 1 February 2019 also be valid for all Gondwana campsites and our new and exciting self-catering, fully-equipped tented camps referred to as Gondwana “Camping2Go”. These are already operational at Zambezi Mubala Camp in the Zambezi Region as well as Namib Desert Lodge near Sossusvlei, and a tented camp is currently under construction at Kalahari Anib Lodge. Gondwana will be running opening price specials on these camps till 31 October 2019. The new exclusive Namushasha River Villa and a similar exclusive development at Namib Desert Lodge (opening 1 May 2019) will also be included for Gondwana Card benefits.

3. Discount and Benefit Structure. With its original purpose in mind, the Gondwana Cards will have the following benefits as of 1 February 2019:

Namibian Cards

50% discount on accommodation (bed and breakfast)

25% discount on dinner

25% discount on activities

50% discount on camping

50% discount on Camping2Go

SADC Cards

40% discount on accommodation (bed and breakfast)

25% discount on dinner

25% discount activities

40% discount on camping

40% discount on Camping2Go

Due to its already low prices, Klein-Aus Vista camping and Geisterschlucht Cabin will be the only exclusion.

It is with great pleasure that we announce these exciting changes to the Gondwana Card programme and look forward to welcoming all Gondwana Card holders at the Gondwana Collection Namibia lodges and campsites. For the revised terms and conditions please visit https://www.gondwana-collection.com/about-us/the-gondwana-card/

Please note that our system programmers are currently updating all programmes to reflect the new pricing structures for Gondwana Card holders and the rates will display correctly upon login within the next two weeks. Should you wish to make a booking in the meantime or require any information, please contact us on bookings©gondwana-collection.com using ATT New Gondwana Card as the subject line.
